Q. Do you think Anne Nickel smith did the right thing to flee to the Bahamas to avoid a paternity suit? This is a legal way to prevent the father from ever seeing his child. This is legal under US law; because the child was born in the Bahamas and had never been on US soil. That is why she did it.

A. you have an odd obsession with keeping children from their fathers. No its not right. every parent should have the chance to know their child unless it is dangerous to the child. Its not right to to deny that child the opportunity. Oh and its Anna Nichole Smith. get it right.

What is the difference between Granny Smith apples and Gala apples?
Q. Whats the difference in size, taste, texture, locality, etc ? I live in the caribbean, and have only heard of granny smith apples. We do import Gala apples, but whats the big difference? Which one do you guys prefer ? If im making Caramel Apples, would it make a big difference if i used Gala and Not granny?

A. Granny Smiths are a good deal larger, green, very firm/crunchy, juicy,and pretty tart - a real bite of sweet-sour flavor. EDIT: I think the caramel tastes better on a slightly tart apple. You want a firm apple that'll take the heat of the caramel, but one that's not too big or hard to bite into. A Braeburn or Macoun might be good. I think a GS is too big and maybe too tart, though if you can get past that, the tart vs. sweet is fun. I think the delicate flavor of a Gala would be swamped under caramel.

How different would the Labour party be now if John Smith had not died?
Q. Assuming he went on to beat Major in 1997... As PM, how would have the UK's finances been different - do you also envision a much different stance to the Iraq conflict? I appreciate this relies on you knowing about John Smith and his values. Thanks in advance.

A. He would have won a majority in 1997, put probably only 350 or so seats. The Conservative opposition would have been stronger than the battered rump of the Major led party that occupied the opposition benches in 1997. Blair would have been Foreign Secretary, and Brown Chancellor, so I suspect economy would have been run on similar lines. While we would still have introduced ECHR into domestic law, with his background in the common law and as a practising criminal advocate John Smith would have been less keen on the flurry of legislation that was the hallmark of Blair years, and would have been more in favour of civil liberties.
