What is your favorite parent-type book?

A. Interesting, but I found it difficult to understand. What do you mean by saying the Holocaust is masculine (or gender neutral)? Are you saying the events themselves are masculine rather than feminine? Or that the players were male, with women participating as onlookers? Or that the SS was some kind of expression of masculine, hierarchical culture. Does that mean Jews and other victims were an expression of feminine culture? Perhaps if you could tell me what it means for something like the Holocaust (a period of history, an historical event) to be masculine or feminine or neutral it would be easier to understand how your examples support that. A. In theory it would have been easy. Especially since, as you fail to recognize in your question, there were a number of different concepts of what a messiah was supposed to be like (for those Jewish groups that believed in one or more messiahs). It would have also been easy for them to have presented a Jesus that matched their beliefs about him. Oddly they don't do that. They have him baptized by John the Baptist (of course, they try to explain this problem away, and the Gospel of John goes so far as to just eliminate it), they present him as having limited knowledge and power, and they have him make claims and predictions which don't quite seem to have come to fruition.
